The CIF NN Sub-Contract was developed by the CIF for use with the Public Works Forms of Contract and has been adopted by the Office of Government Procurement as the contract form to be used for Reserved Specialists.

The procedure for Reserved Specialists has been introduced under Circular 01/16 which allows for the direct tendering of Specialist works packages by the Employer, whereupon the Contractor will enter into a sub-contract with the respective successful Specialist tenderer.

Where Reserved Specialists are engaged, the Agreement and Conditions of Sub-Contract (NN) issued by the Construction Industry Federation must be used as stipulated in Guidance Note 2.3.3 Specialists and the Public Works Contracts and in the corresponding Forms of Tender and Schedule for Public Works Designed by the Employer (FTS1, FTS3, or FTS5 as appropriate).

The NN Subcontract form is available to download from the CIF’s online Contracting Resourcing Hub here.
